Based on the 1100 kilometre journey of the 104th Regiment from Fredericton, New Brunswick to Kingston, Ontario during the War of 1812, this film follows the experiences of eighteen year-old Lieutenant John Le Couteur in the winter of 1813. The script is based upon Le Couteur's journal, as edited by Donald Graves in Merry Hearts Make Light Days.

Director Patrick Y. Lee (15) interest in Canadian and American history led him to collaborate with history buff, Eamonn O'Keeffe, to create this stunning account of John Le Couteur's epic journey during the War of 1812. Lee spent hours assembling a solid cast and crew he could trust, in precaution to using real muskets on set. He helped secure the historically accurate location at Fort York and ensemble many actual Fort guards to act in the film. After editing the film with special access to an editing suite, he released the film on March 16, 2013 and submitted it to the Heritage Minute film contest.
